Kentucky Civil War Sesquicentennial Event Commemorating the 150th Anniversary of the Formation of the 9th KY

Co. B, 9th Kentucky Volunteer Infantry Regiment (US), a Civil War re-enacting group, will conduct a unique living-history event in honor of the formation of the 9th KY Sept. 1861. The event, complete with encampment, musket-firing and drilling demonstrations, civilian impressions and even period-correct debates and speeches will be unique in that it presents individuals in civilian status as they arrive to be mustered into service. Monitor the park’s website for an updated schedule of events.
