Somerset, KY – TOUR Southern and Eastern Kentucky is proud to announce three communities in TOUR SEKY’s service area are featured in the October issue of Kentucky Monthly Magazine. Cumberland Gap, Berea and Cumberland Falls are featured in the article “10 Things That Make us Proud to be a Kentuckian”.

Cumberland Gap is first on the list. Located in Middlesboro, KY near the Tennessee and Virginia boarders, the Gap was the pioneer’s first doorway to the west. The Gap played a major role on the expansion of the west with more than 300,000 passing though the area.

5th on the list is Berea, the arts and craft capitol of Kentucky. Visitors to the area can meet local artisans and purchase their artwork at shops throughout the community. Berea was also named one of the Nation’s top 25 Art Destinations by American Style Magazine.

The moonbow at Cumberland falls is number eight (8) on the list. Cumberland Falls is the only place in the Western Hemisphere where you view a moonbow. The spectacular site is created when the light of the full moon refracts through the mist from the falls.
