Miss Redbud Trails 2012 Pageant Applications Now Available

The Miss Redbud Trails 2012 Pageant applications are now available on the TOUR SEKY website. The applications are located on the lower right hand side and are avaialble for girls of ages from 0 to seniors in high school. This is the second year for the younger age groups but its the 7th year for Miss Redbud Trails available for Juniors and Seniors. The winner of the Miss Redbud Trails will receive a $10,000.00 scholarship to Union College.

11th Annual Tourism Forum a Success!

Thank you Betty Cole for your wonderful leadership as chairperson for 2011. Cole has served on the executive board of TOUR Southern and Eastern Kentucky for five years and recently finished her one year term as chairperson.

Cole is the Executive Director for the Knox County Barbourville Tourism and Main Street programs. She is a great asset for southern and eastern Kentucky.

Cole will remain on the TOUR SEKY board as the immediate past chair and the TOUR staff look forward to her continued support!

TOUR SEKY RECEIVES SEVEN AWARDS FOR EXCELLENCE IN MARKETING

TOUR Southern and Eastern Kentucky (TOUR SEKY) received seven (7) awards in the 2011 Kentucky Tourism Industry Association’s (KTIA) Excellence in Tourism Marketing competition.

TOUR SEKY received the awards Tuesday October 18th during the Traverse Awards Gala held at the Lexington Center, Lexington, Kentucky as part of KTIA’s 2011 Fall Conference on Tourism. Read more »

Broke Leg Falls

After climbing down countless stair steps, and through the bolder strewn gorge below, there's little doubt left about the name of Broke Leg Falls. This 60 foot roadside waterfall once commanded prime attraction status, but has been bypassed by progress over the past years.  But recently TOUR SEKY, in partnership with the Frenchburg-Menifee County Chamber of Commerce, was able to restore this beautiful place through TOUR’s Community Development Program.
